RIP Kim Manners

One of The X-Files' most prominent and talented directors, Kim Manners, passed away this week after losing his battle with cancer. He was 58.

Kim directed some of the most beloved episodes of the series, including Humbug, Redux II, and a personal favorite of mine, Home. He ultimately had final say when the show wrapped in 2002, directing and producing the two-part series finale, The Truth (I secretly hoped he would be invited back to direct the third feature film).

After the show ended, Kim moved on to produce the CW series, Supernatural. His television legacy will not be forgotten.
